Abandoned

Sideways glance, eyes cast down, I beg you, do not disturb.

My plea disregarded, you desert me in our late winter.

Your growing needs too much for my simple character.

Your desires too much for my practical nature.

One last bitter kiss and I alone crumble, draped in transient memories.

  1. Hi, thank you for reading my first post to this blog. I hope you enjoyed it.

  2. I would dare guess that this is a photo you took that inspired the isolated & austere verse. The website further enhances the atmoshpere – very spare.

I love the tire tracks having recently been made in the motel parking lot – very transient!

    • Hi John, Thanks for dropping by. Let’s chat on Sunday.

I also like those tracks in the snow for the pic–love your verse!
