The disclosure of your brightness, your warmth, is unexpected. Still clothed for winter, I am not ready to receive you, but your light, so tantalizing, persuades me to peel back my layers, exposing myself to your gentle heat. Even if this moment is fleeting, I will risk getting burned.

Today’s post was inspired by two poems I read this weekend, Matrimony by Allison Grayhurst and Subtly by The Others1.  Thank you.

How timely given the early spring many of us seem to be experiencing. But as with all of your work, deeper meaning is found. Lovely.

With this early spring I’m going to have to go out and take some new photos. I’m still working on my winter stock and with my spring bulbs emerging, it just feels so wrong. thanks for coming by.
