So, tell me about yourself

I’d like to thank jmmcdowell for presenting me with the “Tell Me About Yourself” award. jmmcdowell is an archeologist / writer and I strongly suggest you take a look at her blog.

Here are the simple and easy-to-follow rules.

1. Thank the person that nominated you and link back to their blog. Thank you, jmmcdowell

2. Tell the world 7 things about yourself that you have not shared, yet.

3. Nominate 7 fellow bloggers and let them know.

Okay, so here goes it:

1.  I don’t normally go crazy over hollywood stars but I do have always had a soft spot for John Cusack.  Likely it is because of this movie : Say Anything.  How can you not love Lloyd Dobler?

2.  I have a Masters in Library and Information Science but am rarely able to return a library book on time.  I think I alone funded the last round of renovations at my local public library.

3.  I naively once thought that parenting got easier as the kids got older.

4.  I am a horrific speller.

5.  I have lived in the following three Canadian cities:  Toronto, Kingston, Montreal.

6.  When I write after the kids go to bed, I do it with a class of scotch.

7.  My husband makes me a latte every morning (often he brings it to me in bed)

7 Blogs

Now I’d like to thank the most recent subscribers to my blog.  I really appreciate you following me and would like to take this opportunity to get to know you a bit better:

Cheers and thanks to everyone who reads my blog.

Last year, I had to pay a quarter for an overdue book. I felt bad, because it was my first overdue book. I kid you not. But then it dawned on me, they probably don’t mind overdue books as it generates income. So seeing as how you’re a library gal, is that true or not? Or do you have better things to do (like drink Scotch) then attend to my silly question? I don’t blame you if you do…

Your timing is perfect as I literally just walked in the door after paying off a $5 fine. The truth is I don’t know. I only worked in corporate libraries but I’m going to say that it can only help. Public libraries always seem strapped for cash so i’m sure they can use the income. Our libraries just raised fines, esp. for DVDs. A dollar a day, not that I get a lot but occasionally they have good movies that netflix doesn’t have, but I degress. Maybe I”ll have that scotch now.

Five dollars?! Good grief, woman, just how overdue are you? No doubt you’re funding their upgrades. 🙂

Oh, if you knew what my fines could be….I’ve been known to throw down a twenty. They’re never that overdue (except for the one that fell behind the TV) it’s just that I have soooooo many.

  2. Thank you so much for such a sweet award! 🙂
I will make a post about this shortly, once I do, I will come back and link it here!

What a sweet husband you have, bringing you latte almost every morning in bed! I’ve tried to hint mine I’d like an occasional breakfast in bed. It’s a rare occasion that happens! 😉

  3. I allow myself one glass of wine a day—and it usually accompanies some writing. I don’t know if it’s my best writing, but it’s usually the most relaxed. 🙂

Congratulations! (I had to chuckle when I saw how #6 proved #4) 🙂
